PaleoGIS 4.2.0 Beta for ArcGIS 10.1

We are pleased to announce that PaleoGIS 4.2.0 Beta is available for testing.

This version features a new vector-based approach to raster reconstruction which improves reliability and performance. Because of your history providing valuable feedback on previous releases of PaleoGIS, we invite you to beta test. Feedback on this release should be submitted no later than October 31, 2013. Your effort to assist in the testing will improve quality and shorten the time to a production release.

You will need to register if you don’t already have an account, and then you will be able to download the beta version from the right side of the page. You can begin the download by clicking on the link “BETA – PaleoGIS v4.2.0.0 for ArcGIS 10.1 Installation File” under the “Paleo Beta Installation Files” section. You must have ArcGIS 10.1 installed in order to use this release. This new version will run on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 32- and 64-bit. Your existing PaleoGIS license can be used to run this beta software.

Please note: This version is not a final release intended for distribution within your company.

  • Perform intersect when refreshing cache for single layer

  • Fixed Undo/Redo function for Enter Pole tool
  • Fixed crashing issue with 9.3.1 layer files
  • Ability to save reconstructions using time slices
  • Removed incorrect error in Plate Model Symbology when saving initial symbology
  • Apply original symbology to unreconstructed layers
